Chameleon Ostomy Urinary Drainage Tubing Kits allow the user to lengthen or shorten the urinary drainage tubing on demand. Need longer tubing for sleep? Quickly add a section or two. Need shorter tubing while seated at the office, or while in a vehicle, remove a section or two. In addition to adjustable length, our tubing kits help prevent urostomy pouch twist and facilitate better cleaning and disinfecting. See below for more details about the different features of our tubing kits. We sell kits or you can purchase fittings and tubing separately and fabricate your own. 01 - Flexible PVC Tubing
We use two types of tubing:

Smooth walled flexible, 5/16 Clear PVC

​Clear Flexible PVC Tubing is NSF 61 certified and Phthalate Free purity, performance and reliability of Excelon RNT makes it an ideal choice when handling liquids, compressed gases and semi-liquids. The tubing is clear with a dense, smooth bore and is resistant to oxidation, chemicals and bacteria.

Clearflow AG-47 Anti-Bacterial Tubing

Made from non-toxic ingredients conforming to FDA standards

Free of phthalates, latex and animal-derived ingredients

Quick Disconnect (QD) Fittings
Low profile valved and non-valved Quick Disconnects are used in our tubing kits. We use Acetal Fittings with EPDM o-rings. These fittings allow a fluid tight seal and easy push button disconnect. When connecting you will hear a distinct "click" to let you know the connection is secure. Valved fittings automatically shut off flow when disconnected. Preventing leaks and allowing you to configure your tubing to allow you to disconnect without fear of the contents of the tube leaking out onto you, or items around you.

Shown here are the male QD Fittings. These insert into the female QD fittings shown above. Material is Acetal with EPDM O-Rings.

Secure Connections
Use of QD connectors allow the user to quickly go from a 60" tubing assembly (example: while in bed with urinary drainage bag at the foot of the bed) to 15" tube length (example: seated in a car with urinary drainage bag at your feet). In addition, the QD fittings allow the tubing to rotate without twisting your bag.

Other Fittings
Urinary Drainage Bags are not standardized. Different manufacturers use different diameters of tubing. If you need barbed reducer fittings, or barbed connectors we carry common sizes. If you have questions or need a specific solution, contact us at info@chameleon.com and we can help.

In Use
Here, and in the following pictures, show a Hollister 2000ml urinary drainage bag with factory tubing and one modified with tubing extension kit. The lower bag shows a short pigtail that you would use when seated, and not have to coil up an excessive amount of tubing.
